Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 1 cups cashew nuts


  • 1 nos for 1 pink dough


  • 1 cups for 1 pink dough :powdered cashew


  • 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1/4 cups water


  • 1-2 drop rose essence


  • 1/4 tsp pink,red food color


  • 1/2 cups for 1 green dough :powdered cashew


  • 1/4 cups sugar


  • 1/8 cups water


  • 1-2 drop vanilla essence

Directions

  • Powdered 1 cup cashew nuts in a mixer.
  • For sugar syrup:-1
  • 1/4 cup water ,1/2 cup sugar boil until 1 stirring consistency.1/4 tsp rose essence .1/4 tsp pink food color few drops of red food color . 1 cup powdered cashew nuts mix well.
  • Cook it medium flame until it starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  • Check the right consistency.if you check the mixture with greased hands.you will be able to form a ball .switch off the flame and keep mixing until the mixture thickens .once thick transfer to clean counter part.
  • Once warm enough to handle ,knead in to a smooth dough.
  • Roll to 11-12 equal sized ball.make a conical shape .Similar to strawberry.
  • Use a fork or a toothpick or some tool gently to make impressions.
  • With remaining cashew powder .prepare green dough similarly.as pink dough and make equal sized small balls.
  • Flatten the dough and cut in to quarters ,stick each quarter to the strawberry .
  • Strawberry kaju barfi is ready.
